I’ve been in Naha for a couple of days now and it’s very fun to walk around. I might say it’s been far more fun than Tokyo (but in Tokyo it was raining non-stop which made things decidedly un-fun).
Prius! Impossible
I’m not sure what message that’s supposed to send.
Interestingly, Okinawa seems to be far more kei jidosha infested than big Japan. It seems like half the cars here are kei cars.
Bonus: At the aquarium in Nago.
My friend is being an excellent host and showing me the coolest bits of the island. I’ll be posting a lot more when I get back to the U.S.

Really need to visit Naha. Was in Tokyo/Kyoto a couple weeks back, and there were waaaay more kei cars in Kyoto.

I was told they (people in Okinawa) like the very small cars there because the gas and road tax are very cheap on them since the engines are tiny, and in Okinawa you almost have to have a car to get anywhere.
